AGON SportsWorld (AGON SportsWorld GmbH) is an Auction-House-tier channel for sports memorabilia, established in 1985 in Kassel, Germany, serving more than 50,000 collectors, museums and archives worldwide. It is an auction house and dealer, not a forensic authentication bureau: its assurance rests on auction provenance, catalogue records and lot history rather than a certificate it issues itself.

Why this matters for collectors

For a collector, AGON SportsWorld's value is access to rare, individually catalogued football and Olympic memorabilia through regular live and online auctions, backed by nearly four decades of dealing (it also runs Europe's largest sports antiquarian bookshop) and managed by director Wolfgang Fuhr.
