Officialshirts.name was a discontinued UK initiative that produced limited-edition signed Manchester United shirts. It was a one-time project built around Robin van Persie, not an ongoing authenticator: it released a single 2014/2015 run and did not continue, so what follows is the provenance of those specific items, not a service available today.

Why this matters for collectors

For a collector, the value of an Officialshirts.name piece is in the documented one-off run it belongs to. Robin van Persie signed the shirts on 23 December 2014: a red home edition limited to 750, a blue away edition limited to 250, and a white third edition limited to 250, each individually numbered (for example 286/750) in medium size, supplied in a collector box with photographs and a Certificate of Authenticity. Only a few hundred exist. Because the brand never established itself, these usually trade at the going rate for a standard Van Persie signed shirt rather than at a premium for the label, and they present best with their original box, certificate and serial number intact.
