Video Proof
Video Proof for Signed Football Shirts
Video proof is video evidence that ties a shirt to the player: a recording of meeting the player, of the shirt at the signing, or of being in the right place with the shirt.
What is video proof?
Video proof is a recording that links a signed shirt to the player who signed it, for example at a signing event or a meeting with the player. It is not necessarily a recording of this exact signature being written; that is exact video proof.
What good video proof shows
The player: clearly identifiable in the footage.
The shirt: recognisable as this exact shirt.
The context: a date and place that fit the signing.
Video proof and exact video proof
Video proof places the shirt and the player together. Exact video proof records the signature being written on this shirt, so the finished mark can be matched to the recording.
What to check
Clarity: steady, well-lit footage in which the player and shirt are recognisable.
A match to the shirt: compare what the video shows with the shirt itself.
Supporting paperwork: a certificate or signing record alongside the video.
Keeping it with the shirt
Keep a copy of the video with the certificate, so the proof stays with the shirt if it changes hands.
